Knowledge of God and Free Will

When we consider the attributes of God and understanding that He is the Knower of the Unseen and is All-Aware of everything, it is clear that He would know what actions humans will perform. Some people say that because God knows which actions we will perform, therefore it is clear that He has compelled us to perform those actions! In answer, it should be said that today’s scientists predict what events will happen in the future and weather forecasters tell us tomorrow’s weather. Should we then say that weather forecasters are the cause for the next day’s weather? Is this at all reasonable? Due to His complete knowledge, God is certainly aware of the future of humans, yet at the same time, people with their free will, influence their destinies. In your opinion, if a teacher makes use of the experience and knowledge of his students that he has and says, for example, that student of mine will fail his exam at the end of the year, is it in the teacher’s power to compel that student not to succeed? Can it be said to the teacher that she made the student flunk because he knew in advance that the student would not pass? Certainly, the answer to these questions is negative. By considering these examples, it can be understood that the knowledge God has of us and our circumstances has no interference with our free will and thus we are able to make decisions in our lives.
