This kind of guidance is not restricted to a specific kind of existence but applies to everyone and everything in the world and that is why it is called General Guidance.

Specific Guidance

As its name suggests- specific guidance is reserved for specific types of creatures. In reality, this type of guidance is especially for humans, who have free will. Humans benefit from this guidance through three means:
their innate nature, the intellect and revelation.
As has been stated, instruction that emanates from the Lord for creatures is of two types.

Various Inclinations

When newborn turtles move towards the sea, when a human exerts effort to remain alive and eliminates hunger and thirst by eating and drinking, or when he reproduces, they are in reality, performing actions based upon their instincts.

Now, the question arises: when humans by their free will are kind and helpful to each other, or when they have a love for knowledge and are constantly in pursuit of the truth, or when they love beauty and celebrate it. does this also come from instincts? Is there a contrast between these actions and instinctive actions? The first difference that comes to mind is that the second group of actions can only be performed by humans but the first group is common among humans and animals. That which guides humans towards the performance of these actions is their nature.
